HAMLET PROTEIN receives delegation from P.R. China

During the last years, the pig industry has been facing higher and higher pressure on the use of blood plasma and Antibiotic Growth Promoters. More recently, the new EU regulation on the use of Zinc Oxide, a topic closely watched worldwide, raised new challenges for European producers. The development of this challenge is of big interest for Chinese producers, who are facing a hard struggle to tackle the African swine fever.

In connection with Zero Zinc summit, a conference meant to address an alternative solution for zinc oxide, a Chinese delegation of industry scientists has visited HAMLET PROTEIN. The purpose was to come closer to an understanding on how Denmark, worldwide known for its modern and efficient pig farming, can overcome successfully the restriction on zinc oxide and set new tendencies.

“We appreciate the opportunity to actively interact with producers and share experiences across markets. Bringing Danish feed and protein producers together with Chinese industry professionals and academics helps with the mutual understanding of how to address global challenges in local markets,” said Erik Visser, CEO Hamlet Protein.

With its focus on young animal production, Hamlet Protein continuously works on feed ingredients that promote healthy growth. Read more on our products here.
