Research points to the carbohydrates in our products as a driver of balanced digestive health in piglets, poultry and pets.
Tests have already documented the ability of our soy-based solution to enhance healthy growth and development when added to animal feed.
Now investigations of the carbohydrate content have confirmed its major role in:
• Improving nutrient breakdown and absorption in the small intestine
• Reducing the substrates for potentially harmful bacteria
• Increasing the availability of substrates for positive bacteria
• Slowing feed transit through the digestive system
Altogether, that adds up to the right conditions for raising healthy animals on a cost-effective diet with maximum feed utilization and nutritional gain.
When we process dehulled soy flakes, most of the original soluble components of the carbohydrate fraction (ie. oligosaccharides) are removed, leaving only the largely insoluble non-starch polysaccharides (NSP). Interestingly, though, in our final product the ratio of soluble to insoluble carbohydrates is 50:50 – a result of the enzymatic reactions that take place during our unique production. This is the key to the carbohydrate story of HAMLET PROTEIN products.
