Feed trial in USA

A prominent US feed producer conducted a broiler trial with HP AviStart in which soya bean meal in the control group’s prestarter was replaced with 5%
HP AviStart in the starter feed.

Conclusions:

• Broilers fed with 5% HP AviStart in the prestarter experienced an improved daily gain, mortality and FCR.
• Replacing soya bean meal with 5% HP AviStart proved beneficial app 7 times (in the US)/10 times (in Europe) when local meat prices and feed costs were factored in.

Feed trial in Leuven, Belgium

The Catholic University of Leuven (KUL), Belgium, evaluated the performance of
HP AviStart in young birds. The soya bean meal in the control diet’s starter feed was replaced with 5% HP AviStart in the trial group’s starter feed.

Conclusions:

• Broilers fed with 5% HP AviStart in the prestarter experienced an improved gut viscosity and FCR.
• Replacing soya bean meal with 5% HP AviStart offered an attractive return on investment (ROI) 9 times (in the US)/11 times (in Europe) when local meat prices and feed costs were factored in.
