HAMLET PROTEIN’s goal is to be a leader in product quality and product integrity and we constantly work on strengthening our supply chain in an overall sustainable direction, while at the same time balancing the need for efficient and reliable flow of raw material for our production units.
Our aim is always to use soya from producers that demonstrate social and environmental responsibility.
We source our soya raw material from the world’s leading soya-producing countries in North and South America.
Since 2005 we have paid a premium to reach our sourcing goal. Soya sourced for production of our unique branded products at our Danish production plant comes from South America; our US facility is supplied by local suppliers from the mid west.
HAMLET PROTEIN only sources soya raw material from suppliers approved according to our quality management system prior to supply of raw material.
In the USA we source from globally recognized suppliers, either NOPA (National Oilseed Processors Association) members or associate members.
In Brazil, we source from suppliers who are either certified according to the ProTerra standard or committed to the Soy Moratorium or in any other way can document compliance corresponding to the Basel criteria (4th Version 16.02.2005).
From the remaining part of South America our suppliers are either RtRs (The Round Table on Responsible Soy Association) certified or able to document another sustainability programme acceptable to HAMLET PROTEIN as a whole.
As new and improved sourcing certification programmes for soya become operationally available we will consider implementing these programmes in our standard sourcing base.
