New research confirms that HP 300 can replace fish meal in weaning pig diets

In a new study published in the Journal of Animal Science H. H. Stein and S.K. Cervantes-Pahm from the University of Illinois confirms that the products from HAMLET PROTEIN can be used as replacing fish meal in weaning pig diets.

Stein says: 'These new sources (fermented and enzyme-treated) of soybean meal might be the answer producers are looking for to keep costs down without sacrificing digestibility of important amino acids. We observed that enzyme-treated (HP 300) soybean meal has even better digestibility of amino acids than conventional soybean meal. It appears the enzyme treatment increases digestibility. With the high cost of fish meal and concerns about its future availability, I believe these (fermented and enzyme-treated) are two good options for weanling pig diets. They are comparable in digestibility to soy protein isolate, the gold standard protein source that is only used in human nutrition," added Stein.
